The Historical Marker is dedicated to A1C James E. Pleiman, Sgt. James D. Locker,
SSgt. William Pitsenbarger and MSgt. William McDaniel II. This marker is also
dedicated to all those aircrew personnel who perished with them while carrying out
their duties. All were killed in action while trying to save others’ lives.
